Mapusaurus roseae, the Ultimate.
Giganotosaurus and T-rex both sitting at heaven are in great despair because humans have unearthed the fossil of one of their brothers who was bigger than them and their record has been shattered. The fossil was encountered in a quarry in Argentina's southernmost region. The new species, named Mapusaurus roseae, ranged up to 12.5 metres long and may have even hunted the biggest plant-eating dinosaur that ever lived, the 40-metre-long, Argentinosaurus.
The fossils were found about 1,000 kilometres southwest of Buenos Aires and 2,900 kilometres north of Tierra del Fuego.
A robust adult would have weighed about six tonnes, stood four metres high on its two legs, and had the truncated arms typical of Tyrannosaurus rex. Its top speed would have been about 20 kilometres an hour, sources said.
